GUATEMALA WITH ALDPAR

Caribbean Guatemala
Guatemala’s tiny Caribbean coast provides the country not only with its most important harbour (Puerto Barrios), but also with delightful travel opportunities. While Puerto Barrios is the Eastern terminus of the Carretera Atlantico, the major highway connecting Guatemala City to its port, the only place of interest to tourists here is the upscale and gated resort hotel and community of Amatique Bay, which has many units available for time share.
Rio Dulce
The magic way to access the Caribbean, however, is by boat on the Rio Dulce which drains Lake Izabal, the largest Lake in Guatemala, into the sea. Many private launches are available for charter in the small resort community of Rio Dulce.

The trip to the sea will take about an hour at full speed. A leisurely cruise on the Rio Dulce is a wonderful way to spend a morning or an afternoon Your destination on the coast is the small town
of Livingston. Across the bay from Puerto Barrios.
